Wes Otani, national sales leader for Douglas Products, says that companies can begin setting themselves up for a strong 2023 by setting up goals, planning, and creating a vision for the upcoming year.
“Start by creating a vision for the upcoming year with specific goals of what you want to achieve in your operation,” Otani says. “Do you want to ramp up staffing? Do you want to increase the capacity of work to be done in a month? Do you want to be able to offer staff a three-day weekend by adjusting work times per day? The end of the year is a good time to take a step back and look at your operational goals.”
The end of the year also can be a good time to perform employee evaluations and assess company resources and labor core.
“Create some time to do individual evaluations for your employees and make a growth plan for each person and your whole team to help them feel like they are an important part of the company team,” Otani says. “It’s also a good time to evaluate company resources and capital such as vehicles, equipment, and tarps to make sure they are in good working order.”
In addition, Heather Kern, commercial leader for Douglas Products in North America, says companies can set themselves up for success in 2023 by participating in the Vikane Pro fumigation training program, offered by Douglas Products.
“The interactive training will help individuals that engage with customers develop and grow their knowledge, performance and customer satisfaction about fumigation service, which will help them grow their fumigation business,” Kern says.
Douglas Products also plans to launch a similar bed bug fumigation sales and customer service training program later in 2023.
